(3) employment,
The best way to seek employement is to fill out a job application everywhere every single day with check in calls to the ones you would most like to work at.
Tip: If you have a facebook or other public account on the internet... Clean it up from any negative comments or highly opinionated discussions, pictures, etc that if leaked in a job situation would ruin your carreer. As someone who has hired before we do do searches for you and check out who you are and it does not have to be your listed reference.
(4) family home production

Homeless To Independence Inc. is an All-Volunteer, Faith-Based, 501©3 non-profit.
If you are actually homeless, or about to be homeless, OR NEED ASSISTANCE OF ANY KIND - simply dial “211″ from a land-line telephone – this will not work from a cell telephone – and tell them your situation and what you need and they will give you information specific for the location you are currently in.
Don’t have a land-line telephone??? Go to your local police department, library, house of worship….and ask them to use their land-line telephone or possibly they call dial the land-line telephone for you.

If you are in a Shelter or looking for more permanent housing here are my suggestions:
1. Keep a back pack and a Folder with you at all times to carry all valuables and needed paperwork with you. All Id’s, Certificates, Cards, Documents and Electronics. paper and pens too.
2. Ask about transportation right away. tokens, passes, cab fair, gas cards, or rides with friends.
3. Library has Free computers and Internet... Get a library card to have access.
4. Before looking for a job do these things to prepare:
A. Fill out paperwork for a physical and Dental at the Anchorage Neighborhood Health clinic this is a good for a year once its done so if an accident occurs you just need to make an appt. Find out all the medical assistant things you can use there. prescription and Dental.
B. Fill out paperwork for public Assistance.
C. Apply for Alaska Housing Financing and Assistance
5. Write a Resume. Network it. promote it. pass it around. Tell people what you do. Spam it on the E-net ...well sort of Spam it.6. Get a savings account....Save. Save. Save.
7. Get stuff you need for your job. Food Permits, license renewals,References.
7. No matter where you are on the housing list call once a week. make a day and call it on that day every single week. People drop out or miss their chance from impatience or forgetting to renew or check and are removed from the list all the time.
8. Do the same thing as with housing for any jobs you applied to... call once a week and leave a message!
9. Ask for Help. Ask for a discount. Explain your situation maybe they have a discretionary fund.
10. Use Food Banks when you can. You can share this food and use it to help others.
11. Let people Help you! Its not a hand out its a hand up and you will pay it forward someday.
12. Pray and read your Scriptures, be compatible with the spirit.
